The first month of the year is already behind us, so let’s step into the second with a focus on personal growth! I’m excited to share some helpful resources and exercises.
Here is your February Growth Dose:
Read
This month I can’t seem to narrow it down to just 1, so I’m sharing 3 great personal growth reads:
Taming Your Gremlin: A Surprisingly Simple Method for Getting Out of Your Own Way
By Rick Carson
I come back to this book time and time again for my coaching and for my own work, and if you know me or have worked with me you have probably heard me talk about it. If you are struggling with or wanting to do work around taming your inner-critic, this is the book to start with.
Writing As a Way of Healing: How Telling Our Stories Transforms Our Lives
By Louise DeSalvo
I am currently taking a wonderful workshop called Writing for Personal Transformation through Lighthouse Writing based in Denver. This book is the core text and if you are interested in writing as a tool for personal reflection and growth this book is a great resource. As DeSalvo says, “writing is a very sturdy ladder out of the pit.”

The Gift: 12 Lessons to Save Your Life
By Edith Eger
I just started this book but so far I am finding it to be really valuable! Eger is an incredible woman who despite the most adverse circumstances (she is a Holocaust survivor), is still uplifting and insightful. This book is all about getting rid of self-limiting beliefs to reach your full potential. Sign me up!

One of my very favorite spiritual teachers is Tara Brach. She is a wonderful meditation teacher if you aren’t familiar with her, and she records her talks as well as guided meditations on her podcast.
