November Growth Dose
Hello, Friends!
Happy November! Wow this month snuck up and marks one month since my husband and I left Colorado and moved to North Carolina! I am soaking in the beautiful Asheville fall and trying to find some grounding routine in this time of transition.
How is your fall going?
I find that this time of year can have really good energy to accomplish what we want to before the end of the year. This is the home stretch of 2021, so let's ask ourselves what we need to do to close out the year in a way that feels good and fulfilling! Let's start thinking (and acting) on that now!
And here is your monthly dose of personal growth resources and inspiration to help you do it:
Read
The Mountain is You: Transforming Self-Sabotage Into Self-Mastery
By Brianna Wiest
This book has changed some of my thinking in big ways. I thought Brianna Wiest does such a good job of articulating how to identify self-sabotaging patterns and behaviors and how to choose differently. It is a quick, but incredibly thought-provoking and deep read. Highly recommend!
Listen
Glennon Doyle's Podcast We Can Do Hard Things: HOW TO SAY NO with Simone Biles and Laurie Hernandez Episode
So many people I admire in one conversation. A great exploration of saying "no" and finding your voice to take care of yourself and your truth even when you have a lot of pressure on you (cough cough like the Olympics).
Write
What do you need to say "no" to in your life? How can you tell when there is something that isn't working for you that you need to eliminate or reduce in your life? Is it hard or easy for you to say "no?" Why do you think that is?
Do
Stay connected to yourself during a time when you might be connecting a lot with others. Plan some solo time because holidays can be wonderful, but they can also be an energy drain. Recharge on your own through it all.
Ponder
What if you believed in your incredibly capability?
Wishing you a growth-filled November!
